OPITO has launched an online learning method for the theoretical components of the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS), as an alternative to classroom theory sessions. The training is combined with the NOGEPA 0.5A.
The OPITO BOSIET/NOGEPA 0.5A combination course including EBS is a basic training course for offshore oil and gas personnel. Specific requirements and regulations are important for persons working offshore. Basic medical knowledge and survival at sea are among the skills that offshore personnel should have.
With the E-BOSIET, you follow the theoretical part at home via e-learning (allowing for approximately 8 to 16 hours to complete the e-learning) and the practical part at DELTA Safety Training (duration of the course 8 hours).
During the practical part, our instructors will provide you with the necessary information and knowledge of the EBS system (Emergency Breathing System), which is used in a helicopter to aid escape when a helicopter goes underwater.
This course can optionally be completed with training of the CA-EBS system (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System), please refer to this link.
Also part of this training is the Offshore Norge (NOG) - Escape Chute Training which is required for working on a platform in Norway. By the way, this supplement should not be confused with the S-Cape training.

This course is a basic training, intended for people who do not or no longer have a valid BOSIET / NOGEPA 0.5A or FOET / NOGEPA 0.5B certificate.

Yes, you can. It is possible to follow the training EBOSIET with EBS & CA-EBS. During this training you will become proficient in using both an EBS and a CAEBS system. -
How long does it take to follow an EBOSITE
The theoretical part you can follow at home takes between 8-16 hours, depending on your own learning pace. The practical part that you must then follow at DELTA Safety Training's location will take 8 hours. -
What are the advantages of following an EBOSIET training course?
If you follow the EBOSIET, you can follow the e-learning at your own pace. You can also follow the training when you have time for it and at the location of your choice.
