The basic training course Working as a Watchman is also called Working as a Manhole Watchman.
The Manhole Guard / Outside Guard training (students with SOG certificate = 1.5 days / students with DELTA certificate = 1 day) is intended for officers who supervise employees working in a confined space at a (petro)chemical company site. During the training they learn how to supervise a confined space and how to act in an emergency situation.

Contents of Buitenwacht (Manhole Guard) - Basic
The basic training Buitenwacht (Manhole Guard, Security Guard) consists of a theoretical and a practical part:
Theory
- Permit system
- Confined space hazards
- Safety measures in confined spaces
- Interpretation of measurements
- Recognize and respond to danger and
- emergencies
Practice
- Acting in normal situations
- Acting in an emergency
- Communication
The course lasts 3 half-days (1.5 days) for SOG. For DELTA students, the course takes 2 half-days (1 day). Both the theory and practical part will be concluded with a test. The course format and times (evenings and weekends are also possible) can be adapted for groups.

Basic training outdoor guard (manhole guard)
This training is a basic training and is meant for people who have no experience as an outside guard.
Do you have sufficient knowledge of working as a security guard? Then book a refresher course. -
In which language is Buitenwacht (Manhole Guard) - Basis taught?
The SSVV Training Guide exam Working as a Watchman can only be taken in the Dutch language. Training courses that are concluded with a DELTA exam can be provided in several languages.

- Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. If desired, however, you can receive a paper DELTA certificate at an additional cost of €17.50 excluding VAT or a paper SOG certificate at an additional cost of €40.
