The NOGEPA 0.4 Limited Offshore Safety Training is intended for people who occasionally visit offshore installations as guests. These may be employees of an external (controlling) organisation, but also, for example, members of the board who do not participate in the operational process on the installation and make a short visit. The nature of these visits should be occasional and the visitors should be under permanent supervision on the installation by a fully trained staff member.

Course content NOGEPA 0.4 Limited Offshore
Occasional visitors are required to have received basic training in emergency response, to avoid endangering themselves or others in (emergency) situations. For example, HUET and sea survival are mandatory components of the 0.4, without these trainings visitors could cause dangerous situations for others. The training consists of the following components:Theory
- Safety introduction for the offshore industry: general safety knowledge, what are the risks and most important safety rules on an offshore platform.
- Helicopter safety: knowledge of hazards/risks and regulations when flying with an offshore helicopter
Practice
- Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET): how to safely escape from a helicopter that has been submerged (turned 180 degrees)
- Survival at sea

Basic and refresher training NOGEPA 0.4 Limited Offshore
This training is meant for people who did not obtain this certificate before and for people who want to refresh their knowledge and/or have a valid certificate that will expire soon.

In what language is the NOGEPA 0.4 Limited Offshore taught?
The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.
